nullDC newbie's guide

nullDC is one of the newest DC emulators, already boasting high compatibility with a broad selection of games. Don't have a copy? Well, here you go:

You'll need your own copies of the DC bios files, dc_flash.bin and dc_bios.bin. A quick google should help you there. Once you have them, rename dc_bios to dc_boot.bin and copy both this and dc_flash into the /data directory of nullDC.

System Requirements
You'll need at least the following in order to run nullDC decently:

AMD Athlon XP/64/Turion at 2GHz or Intel Pentium 4 at 2.6GHz or equivalent.
Nvidia GeForce 4 TI or ATi Radeon 8500.
512MB RAM
Windows 2000/XP/2003
December Redistributable of DirectX 9c

Common problems

Q. nullDC only supports keyboard input, how can I use a joypad?
A. JoytoKey is your friend.

Q. Some 'working' games crash with a "Not Implemented Opcode" Error! Why is that?
A. Certain Echelon Intros can do this. Try a different, non-Echelon rip.

Q. IS emulation 100% perfect on (insert game here)?
A. Probably not, though it can be so close you'd barely notice. Certain games can have problems with sound and graphic glitches, though usually not enough to severely hamper gameplay.

Q. Why do some games like RE:Code Veronica seem to run too fast/slow in places?
A. These issues crop up in a few games (most notably Code Veronica, Dino Crisis, Timestalkers,Dead or Alive 2, Virtua Fighter 3 and Fighting Vipers) and are a known problem. They've all been fixed for the next release, if you want to wait 'til then instead.
