Thanks for the upload. 'tis an enjoyable game - It seems to retain some of the 'feel' of gauntlet II, with the added twist of exp points and so on, with out losing the arcdey feel (much better than guantlet 3!). Thanks again!

about Valencia's download
I'm new to this so... sorry.... ChankastAlpha025 is the emulator.
About Valencia's download: I've downloaded the 4 part file to this, extracted it and used Daemon tools. Now i go to choose drivers and since i have 2 cd rom drives already (D: and E: drives) it created the F: drive from daemon tools. I selected F: and load the game. Here is the problem: It loads the dreamcast logo and then it loads the Sega part. After that it goes to a blank screen and absolutely nothing happens. Then after a while it will direct me back to the configurations menu where you can choose memory card/music/settings/load. I try loading it again and the same procedure happens again. What is wrong? Is it bad file? I hope not cuz it took me 100+ mins to d/l and extract this game. Could it be plugin problem? Before i didn't download ANY plugins and used the ones that are available( not the XXX ones) but it gave me this error: can't read TOC from f: drive. However when i use the xxx ones it doesn't give me any errors although i still can't get the game to work after the sega screen. Current version of ChankastAlpha in case u missed it: v0.25 edited: about 1 min later: I just read the game's full name and it says PAL. ChankastAlpha doesn't support PAL i believe? Did i answer my question? LOL... ok so what emulator supports PAL? I seriously don't want to go hunting(d/ling) all the emulators to see which one has PAL support. Please note that the version posted Valencia is the NTSC version which will NOT work on PAL Dreamcasts. There is a PAL protection fix at Megagames but this will only work with the original CDI image and not the Nero image that Valencia posted.
Unfortunately, both the original PAL version posted by brunch as well as the CDI image posted by SirGreatNose are not working any more. I would be grateful if someone could reupload either of these files again. By the way, Gauntlet Legends does currently NOT work in Chankast.

Ive played this game on every console, and even the newer versions of it. Nothing like sititng down with 4 friends and ripping this game a new one. Its so simple, and yet so sexy.
"The game's sound is a definite weak point. The soundtrack is boring and repetitive, and the sound effects don't do much to break up the monotony of the gameplay. The game does feature some speech but not in any important parts - such as in the CG sequences or when you're talking to another character. Instead the speech is all in the form of the godlike narrator that occasionally lets you know that "Green Warrior needs food badly!" Its called the "Mute" button. Comes on all those fancy new TVs.
