Can anyone confirm if FF9 works on ePSXe 1.7? What are the optimal settings?

Im having Issues running it, It crashes during the Cutscene when I get on the Cargo ship to get to lindblum, also alot of the other cutscenes tend to be realy glitchy. Im using Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8, Anyone know how to fix this? ><
