Space Channel 5
Dream Resurrection
Dream Resurrection or DCRES is a project maintained by TuxTheWise. The goal is making high quality releases, caring about dummy (faster loadings), file order (GD or custom that makes loadings faster and reader noise quieter), downsampling (the best quality with available space) and selfboot. Please always see readme files of each game, they always have important information. Feedback? Suggestions? Problems? Fell free to send a PM.

NOTE: I've seen some people uploading my releases in other servers. I recommend you always getting
my releases of my uploads in the forums above, because sometimes I release fixes or re-launch some
games that have problems. If you get my uploads you'll be sure of having the latest releases.
Additionally, you'll get the original package, not images made from discs, so you'll be sure that
nothing is corrupted.

Space Channel 5 (NTSC-U)
------------------------
Ripped: Nothing.
Downsampled: Background videos, voices (44khz mono -> 32khz mono), music and story videos sounds
(44khz stereo -> 44khz mono).
Source: GD dump and PS2 version of this game.
This game was a hard one to complete. Videos are used as background, so game keeps streaming them
+ music + voices. My first try was using 32khz stereo music, but game couldn't stream everything
on time, so videos got totally out of sync. So I had to use music as 44khz mono. I really wanted
to keep music with a higher quality since it's a musical game, but that was the best I could do.
It's the same thing that Kalisto did by the way. Note that file order was very optimized to make
streaming during the game as easy as possible. However, some videos still can enter some
miliseconds late. It's impossible to correct it because fetching files on CD-R is not as faster as
in a GD (do you remember Soul Calibur music?). The good news is that won't mess with the gameplay,
it's a very low detail that can be noticed only sometimes. Even original GD has a little delay in
the start of the videos.
In the first version I made of this game to release, I used original DC background videos. They
had to be downsampled to make space and make streaming easier. However, I was not happy with the
results. So I downloaded PS2 version. After some work to unpack the videos, I noticed that the
background videos quality was much better than DC version's. I used them as source, encoding in
VBR, and they got at least as good as the original DC ones. The light scenes got better for sure.
Using PS2 videos was a great idea, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.
About the downsampled voices, I couldn't notice any difference from original, even hearing them
several times one after another.
The result is a complete enjoyable gameplay, with nice music quality and nice video quality.
Streaming should be better than Kalisto's release. Ah, and if you use VGA-Box and is taking breath
to start blaming me for the video quality, I'd like to inform you that the original GD also got
crap on VGA.
Enjoy this strange and funny game. Chu chu!
Features of my release:
- Not corrupted files at all, it was made with GD dump files.
- Very optimized file order to help streaming of files during the game.
- Selfboot.
About the game:
- It has VGA Box support.
Other comments:
- "Extras" folder in the pack contains some useless stuff.
- Release comes with manual and covers.

Use 7-zip. For unpacking the RAR files inside archive, you can use WinRAR.
Burning files:
Alcohol 120% probably can burn all extensions, but I recommend Disc Juggler for CDI files.
