I'd have to say there isn't a difference. If you notice in the back cover description, it says the evil wizard's name is Ripto. The NTSC-J version of this is called Spyro X Sparx: Tondemo Tours!

Region differences are almost always cosmetic (title change, cover art), but the gameplay is the same. I never got around to finishing the guide on region name differences, but you can view the work in progress here (http://snesorama.us/board/showthread.php?t=4071).

The PAL Version has a special protection in the subchannels, it will crash EPSXE between some level-portals. You need my attached .sbi file, created from the original CD withe P.E.Op.S.CDR plugin. You need to load it at gamestart with the P.E.Op.S. CDR Driver 1.4 and the game works fine.

yes the saves of riptos rage dont work with gateway to glimmer and vise versa

from what i can tell lol i think, like some regional changes, there's no difference gameplay wise besides a change in titles and the box art but i could be mistaken lol

I`ve got a problem to burn this game on cd.

I burned this 3 times with alcohol120% and 2 times with nero. If i start the game, the PSX Picture loads, but them I come to menu for to check my memory cards.

pls help me.

I was having a problem with the PAL version, when burned to disc and loaded into the PSX, when i reached summer forest, if i tried going into a level the game just crashed on me.

How do i fit this subchannel file in? Does it need patched in or do i just add it to the files on disc?

I can't get the Download to work? My PsOne has been modded for years, so i used to just copy games when i rented them , but my Spyro had died i and i need to finish it!
