For the ones who know this game, it's in the part when you leave a village with strange creatures, that speak a very strange language (some words are poko, poh, and i can't remember else).

The thing is that long time ago, i played the game hat i downloaded from another site, and happened the same, and i couldn't finish. Then, after a long time, i found a version that didn't freeze, but the intro video had no sound.

In conclusion, i don't have a perfect version, i still can't find one...

(I've lost some cd's with this game, let's hope that the other version on this page is good, or it'll be another cd to the trash :( )

EDIT: I forgot, i played the game in my PS1, not in emus, and maybe noone has reported this, because it's in a very advanced part of the game (i had like 50 hours in that part)

So that's it, the game doesn't freeze in emu, but it does in the console.

It is weird, but i tested in another PSX, and it freezes too. Maybe the emu just skip those mistakes, while the console can't (just a theory), because this isn't the first time it happens, it had happened me before with the World's Scariest Police Chases, i tryed to play it in the PSX, without any luck, while in emus worked perfectly. :confused: :scratchchin7ad:

Issue: Breath of Fire 4 crashes, as soon as you enter Kyria.

Solution: Load the cheat for Breath of Fire 4, located in cheats/breath_of_fire_4_usa.cht using ePSXe's cheat function. If you're not familiar with ePSXe' cheat function, make sure to check out the Features section.

Get 7-zip, version 4.23 from here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z423.exe.
Then, go to tools, options, system tab within the options and check the 001 option to associate 7-zip with 001 files.Then, just put all parts together(in the same folder), you should see a 7z icon over the 001 file, then double click it and enter the password, after which the archive should open and you should see the files in the archive, select them and hit extract, enter the password when prompted and make sure you extract all files in the archive, not just one. That's pretty much all there is to it, getting the emulator to run the iso is a different thing altogether.

Does anyone else have a problem with this game after you go through that wind tower near Wyndia, fight the battle atop of the tower, then fly off and talk with the wind dragon. After that, you have to go through a snowy mountain moving snowballs so you can get through. Anyways, I gave so much information so people know exactly where I am. The problem I am having would be every time outside of the mountain when I enter camp and talk to the fairy to enter the village it goes to a white screen and then just stays like that. I hear the music but it's just a white, blank screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Breath of Fire IV... great game, it's not a story you never heard of... but it mixed up a lot of gameplay elements very well, there's just so much to do in this game, learn skills from Masters, help fairies build a nice town with lots of mini games and extras for you to obtain, of course level up, and fishing! man I love fishing in this game... when you need to cool down go fishin' man, it helps... and yields great treasures too =D

Breath of Fire IV is a role-playing video game developed by Capcom, and is the fourth game in the Breath of Fire series. It was originally released for the Sony PlayStation in Japan and North America in 2000, and the PAL region in 2001. The game was later ported to Windows-based PCs in Europe and Japan in 2003.
Just as in previous games of the series, Breath of Fire IV follows the adventures of a young man named Ryu, heir to a lost civilization's ability to transform into powerful dragons, who must team up with several other skilled warriors to combat an awakened immortal emperor from ascending to godhood and destroying the world of man. Like Breath of Fire III, the game utilizes a mix of two and three-dimensional computer graphics and turn-based battle sequences.

Breath of Fire IV is a traditional console role-playing game with an overhead, isometric viewpoint. The game's camera can be manually rotated by the player up to a full 360 degrees in some instances, though unlike Breath of Fire III it cannot be tilted up or down. The game environment is rendered in full 3D, while character are present as two-dimensional hand-drawn sprites. While moving about the world, players can interact with computer-controlled characters and objects, gain knowledge on the world around them, and gather clues on how to advance the story. Each playable character is given a special "field skill" that can be used to destroy obstacles or solve puzzles outside of battles, which occur randomly in hostile areas or dungeons.
