Because some prefer PAL and others prefer the NTSC version. it depends, for exemple i live in europe and some tvs in europe dont work with NTSC and in America its the other way around.

u could play them on a modded PS2, the quality is much better than on the PSX and it's a 99.9% comptability there

Nice horror game for lonely nights :P I played it first when I found the trial version in my metal gear solid case and loved it! Weird, scary and great athmosphere. Its worth a try. Njoy

PS: The European and the Jap version dont have the Mumblers (also called children zombies by some people). They were replaced by the Clawfinger monster. You can find a letter in this version which is not in the US version though.Note:

Btw, the PAL version is identical with the japanese one, the american one was modified for the US market. In detail a monster model was replaced (the zombie schoolkids are actually undefinable, mole-like creatures in the JP version) and some documents are missing for some reason.
